Designer thoughts
'When we designed the RUTBO paper lamp series we wanted to find a new way to use paper. Our inspiration for the rectangular floor lamp came from city skyscrapers - and by putting the frames outside the paper we were able to give RUTBO its special character. Then we complemented the series with round ceiling, floor and table lamps. Our idea was to make a series with many different shapes, sizes and functions so that everyone would be able to find a lamp that suits them.'
